Mary Segala Bonner, age 91 of Dryden, Ontario, Canada, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Mrs. Bonner was born on April 3, 1916 in Methuen, Mass. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, Donald Bonner; daughter, Mary Ann Bonner; parents, Alessandro and Rosina Segala; a brother; and six sisters. Mary was a former resident of Bridgeport for 74 years. She was a retired employee of Dictaphone/Pitney Bowes. Mary was an avid seamstress, wonderful cook, her panetone and lemon meringue pies were her special recipes. She was a dedicated, loving and wonderful mother of daughter, Geraldine Savian and son-in-law, Mario Savian. She was dedicated to her joys in her life, her grandsons, Mario Donald Savian of Virginia Beach, Va., Robert Savian and his wife, Krista Savian, of Burnsville, Minn. and Marc Savian of Ottawa, Ontario; and her great-granddaughters, Alana and Sophia Savian of Burnsville, Minn. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. One of the surprising highlights of her life was flying at age 80, alone with her grandson. She will be missed dearly. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will following Mountain Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.
