Mary E. DeMasi Carey age 93 of Bridgeport died Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Carey Sr.  She was the daughter of the late Anthony De Masi and Anna Imatizione.  Born in Bridgeport, Mrs. Carey retired in 1983 as a clerk for the Juvenile and Superior Court in Bridgeport. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her church and her friends. Survivors include her loving children, son, Reverend William F. Carey Jr. of Greenwich, daughter Maureen E. Carey of Trumbull, granddaughter Kaitlin Wood, sisters Nancy Hornyak, Anna DeMasi and Jean Fisher, as well as her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Edith Masulli, Joseph DeMasi, Frank, DeMasi, and Nicolina Rizzitelli. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 9:15am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8pm.
