Mary Ciaramella, age 96, beloved sister of Joanna (Jennie) Ciaramella and a resident of St. Joseph's Manor, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 24, 2007, at the Manor. Mary was born in Italy, daughter of Michael and Tomisina Ciaramella and had lived most of her life in Bridgeport. She was retired from Schick, Inc. of Milford. Mary was a devoted communicant of St. Andrew Parish and had made many dear friends over the years as a member of the St. Andrew Friendship Club and the Senior Club at the Park Avenue Knights of Columbus Hall. Survivors in addition to her sister include a devoted nephew, Michael L. Ciaramella Sr. and wife Diane of Huntington, two great nieces and a great nephew, Michele Guido and husband Ray, Michael L. Ciaramella Jr. and Suzanne Silvestro and husband Michael, all of Huntington, five great great nephews, Raymond G. Guido III, Daniel Guido, Nicholas Guido, Louis Silvestro and Joseph Silvestro; also a cousin Mary Gentile of Fairfield. She was predeceased by a brother, Louis Ciaramella. Due to renovations at St. Andrew Church, friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. directly in the lower chapel of St. Patrick Church, 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There will be no prior calling hours.
