Mary Swarchak Kushmar age 89 of Bridgeport passed away Thursday April 30, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Kushmar. Born in Bridgeport she lived in Greenwich before moving to Bridgeport. She resided in Ameridge Condominiums since 1973. Mary and Samuel both graduated from Greenwich High School. She worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for 40 years. Survivors include her loving daughter Jyl King of Longboat Key, FL granddaughters Jaime Kalman Markham and Kristin Kalman Greenberg and three great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Joan Kalman and sister Frances French. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30am in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
