Mary Shostak Moquin, age 90 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Eugene M. Moquin, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Michael and Olga Leshkevich Shostak. Mary was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, where she received her teaching degree, and was a grade school teacher with the Bridgeport School System. Survivors include her sons, Eugene Moquin of Watchung, NJ, and John Moquin of Tucson, AZ, a sister Valentina Romanovsky of Trumbull, two grandsons Eugene A. Moquin and John Paul Moquin both of Waterbury, eleven nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she is predeceased by a son George Moquin, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:00am from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:00am in Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2 – 6pm, a Panachida service will take place at 5 pm.
