Mary E. McClatchey McCluskey O'Connor, age 86 of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Bernard L. O'Connor, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Cambridge Manor. Mary was born in Ireland, daughter of the late Francis and Bridget Mallon McCluskey, and came to the United States on her 10th birthday. She was a proud retiree of the Judicial Branch, serving as a court clerk, and prior to that was employed by Liberty Mutual. Mary was a member of the CESA Retirees, serving as their secretary for many years, and a member of the Gaelic American Club and the Mother's Circle. She was an active parishioner and communicant at St. Andrew Church, and a member of the Rosary Confraternity.  Mary is survived by her devoted children Brian F. O'Connor, Mary B. O'Connor of Wethersfield, Kathleen C. Kogen of Torrance, CA, Kevin P. O'Connor of Stamford, and Eileen Spiltoir of Walpole, NH, and their families including nine cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, and cousins along with the Picnickers and dear neighbors and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary is predeceased by her grandson Scott O'Connor and her six siblings. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Monday from 2p.m. to 8p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
