Mary Hamburger O'Neil, age 85 of Easton died peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 14, 2012. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Anna Ryan Hamburger and sister of the late Lois Hamburger. Mrs. O'Neil has been an Easton resident for the past 44 years. She received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut majoring in English, History and Sociology. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Easton, the education committee at Notre Dame of Easton Church and a member of the Auxiliary Committee at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She is survived by her children, James J. O'Neil, Anne O'Neil Look and her husband Daniel, Terri O'Neil Berthier and her husband Robert, Mark T. O'Neil, Carol O'Neil Sirota and her husband Michael, Margaret (Meg) O'Neil Ruddy and her husband Joe, and Christopher P. O'Neil, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her family wishes to thank her devoted caregivers Stacy Andriolas, Luba Cap, Jackie Desravines, Sandra Dorvil, Veronica O'Connell, and Glenda Thompson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00am meeting directly at Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, Easton with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8 pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
