Matilda Sedelnik, age 90, beloved wife of the late Peter Sedelnik, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield.  Matilda was born in Jenners, PA, daughter of Frank and Margaret Horvath (Sztari) Stary, and was raised in Bridgeport's West End, home to the Hungarian community. She and her husband were active with Sylvan Crest American Legion and Miamogue Yacht Club and after his death she enjoyed many years living at Foxledge Condominium.  Survivors include, two sons, Peter Sedelnik and wife Carol, of Huntington and Gary Sedelnik and wife Jeanne, of Trumbull, her sister, Elizabeth Norton, of Woodbridge, three grandchildren, Melissa Penry, Philip W. Sedelnik, of Bridgeport and Sarah Kenyon and husband Geoffrey of New Haven, two great grandsons "her boys", Ethan and David Penry, one nephew Richard Norton, of  NM.  She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Gazdik, of Stratford.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m., meeting directly at St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.  Friends may call Sunday, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Cambridge Manor for their loving care and attention.
