May Burkhart Toussaint, age 92, beloved wife of John E. Toussaint, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. May was born in New London, daughter of the late John and Jane Clifford Burkhart and was a Trumbull resident for over 57 years before moving to the Jewish Home with her husband. She was a devoted communicant of St. Theresa Parish and a former member of the Confraternity of the Rosary. May retired as a secretary for the guidance office at Madison Middle School, Trumbull. Survivors, in addition to her husband include; three loving daughters, Sr. Monica Toussaint, O. Carm., of Wilkes – Barre, PA, Mary Lou Toussaint, of Concord, MA and Lynn Homberg and husband, Peter of Roxbury, four grandchildren, Ruth Homberg, Emma Homberg, Pam Buzzeo and Doug Homberg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m in St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
