Michael Sean Kollar, "Spike" age 52 of Bridgeport passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 in his home. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of Dorothy McGrath Kollar and the late John P. Kollar. Spike was a longtime Fairfield resident and graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School where he played Varsity Football. He was a certified welder, enjoyed skiing and was an avid fisherman. Survivors in addition to his mother, Dorothy include his brothers, John Kollar and his wife Mary of Fairfield, Bill Kollar and his wife Edel of Fairfield, and Joseph Kollar and his wife Tracey of Bridgeport, nephews and niece, John, Charlie, Hannah, Sean, Jack and Kevin, Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am meeting directly in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
