Michael Kot, age 94 of Easton, beloved husband of the late Helen Daniels Kot, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, in his home. Michael was born in New Haven, son of Boris and Mary (Misturenish) Kot, and was a 1941graduate of Milford High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Marine Corps in the battles of Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Peliliu where he received a purple heart for being wounded, and other minor battles for over 3 years being overseas. He is a retired tool-die maker from the Electrolux Company, but learned the trade at the Bridgeport Brass and worked at several different manufacturing companies including CBS laboratories in Stamford. Michael was a wonderful devoted father of four children; Deborah Zimmer of Jacksonville, Florida; Marie York of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Michael P. Kot of Easton, with his wife Krista; and Brandan M. Kot of Raleigh, NC with his wife Kayla, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 until service time, in the funeral home.
