Michael P. Lauzon, age 72 of Bridgeport went to his eternal rest on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa B. Lauzon. Born in Swanton, Vermont he was the son of the late Paul and Marion Paquette Lauzon.

Michael spent his career working in law enforcement/public safety. Twenty-six years were spent at Fairfield University as a public safety officer, leaving the department in 2008 as assistant director. He worked for G4S Security Services in Stamford until his retirement.

Michael was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11077, serving as Grand Knight for many years. He was also District Deputy and served as Commander of the 4th degree honor guards, General Philip H. Sheridan Assembly #107.

Mike was an active parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Reader. Mike is survived by his sisters, Theresa Fedorchek, Anne Retzlaff (John) and brother George Lauzon (Lynn); two nieces, Heather Westad (Brian) and Rebecca Le (Khang); grand nieces and nephews, Signey Westad, Zachary, Charlie and Zoey Le. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Paula Greenwood (William) and Brenda Lauzon and his brother-in-law Robert Fedorchek. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 at 11 AM meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at a later date in Vermont.
