"I am the resurrection and the life." John 11:25 (ESV)
With heavy hearts, yet with hope in Jesus Christ, we announce the passing of Noeub Chan, who went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the age of 60.
Born on March 6, 1966, Noeub was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family. Her life was a precious gift, and her presence brought meaning and love to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Above all, she leaves behind a family whose lives have been forever shaped by her love and the memories they shared with her.
Noeub was the devoted wife of Sokkhoeun Sim and the loving mother of Sinath Sim, Simon Sim, and Sana Sim. She was also a proud grandmother to Lana Yan, Mya Sim, and Izen Sim, whose lives brought special joy to her family. Her legacy will continue through her husband, children, grandchildren, and all those who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Although our hearts grieve her passing, we do not grieve without hope. As Christians, we find comfort in the promises of God and the assurance that death does not have the final word. Through Jesus Christ, we have the promise of eternal life and the hope of a reunion with those who belong to Him.
Jesus reminds us in John 11:25-26 (ESV):
"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." These words remind us that while our earthly separation brings sorrow, our hope rests in the unchanging love and faithfulness of our Savior. We entrust Noeub into the hands of our gracious God, finding comfort in the promise that one day, every tear will be wiped away, and death and sorrow will be no more (Revelation 21:4).
As we remember Noeub's life, we give thanks to God for the years we were blessed to share with her. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave, the memories she leaves behind, and the impact she made will continue to live on through her family for generations to come.
Today, we mourn her passing, celebrate the life she lived, and hold fast to the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of her family during this season of grief (Philippians 4:7).
"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."
