Noreen Gleason Kessler, age 73, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully after a short illness on Friday, January 3rd, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Gleason of Bridgeport and was predeceased by her devoted husband Charlie. Noreen initially earned a degree in political science but later returned to school while raising her five children to become a registered nurse, retiring in 2017. As the revered matriarch of her large family, Noreen was known for her wry sense of humor and sophisticated style. She is survived by her children: Christopher Kessler, Kate Kessler-Santos and her husband Peter, Sara Chizmadia and her husband Justin, Molly MacKenzie and her husband David, and Charles Kessler. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Jack and Peyton Santos, Avery and Brooke MacKenzie, and Carter Chizmadia. Noreen is fondly remembered by her siblings, Laura Wetmore (Thomas), Robert Gleason (Karen), and John Gleason (Margaret), and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to greet her family Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
