Norine C. Myers Shannon, of Stratford, beloved wife of 49 years to the late Richard J. Shannon, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 after a brief illness. Mrs. Shannon was born in Troy, New York on November 6, 1929, to the late Thomas and Honora McGrath Myers and was raised in Trumbull. She attended Bassick High School and the University of Connecticut. Mrs. Shannon severed faithfully as a mother, teacher, and member of St. Mark Parish, Stratford. Survivors include her brothers, William Myers of Syracuse, NY, and Thomas Myers, of San Jose, CA, and her brothers-in-law Robert D. and John E. Shannon, of Stratford, she was loved and cherished by her children, M. Shannon Eaton of Boston, MA, Richard P. Shannon, MD of Pittsburgh, PA, William G. Shannon of Monroe, and Timothy M. Shannon, MD of Branford, her daughters-in-law, Colleen, Catherine and Barbara, most of all, she will be missed by her 8 loving grandchildren, Courtney, Erin, Alec, Andrew, Owen, Oliver, Nora, and Desmond Shannon, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday (TODAY) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
