Norman R. Begin, age 63, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Deena Tencza Begin, passed away at home Sunday, July 29, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Gardner, MA, he was the son of the late Patrick A. and Fernande Poulin Begin. The family moved to Bridgeport in 1957 and Norman has resided in Trumbull the last 22 years. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Fairfield, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and his Masters from the University of Bridgeport. A language teacher, he first taught French and retired this year from the Newtown Middle School where he taught Spanish for 42 years. Norman was a member of the Connecticut Organization of Language Teachers. An all around creative handyman his hobbies included gardening, carpentry, and love for the outdoors. In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves two devoted sons, Mathieu P. Begin and Michael H. Begin, both of Trumbull, two brothers, Gerald H. Begin and wife Kathleen of Middlefield and Robert A. Begin and wife Bernice of Bridgeport, two sisters, Lorraine LeRoy of Oakville and Rejeanne Caggiano and husband James of Trumbull; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
