Ocie Thomas Adams, Jr., age 68 of Fairfield, CT, beloved husband of Stephanie Nassau Adams, passed away in his home on Saturday, August 8, 2015.  Born on January 14, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Naval Officer Ocie Thomas and Frances Harrell Adams and made Fairfield County his home for the past 30 years.  Ocie earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology and established his own consulting company, Adams & Company, Inc. in 1985, acting as a sole practitioner to non-profit and for-profit organizations, most recently with Morgan Stanley and solely with Citigroup, Inc. for the past eight years.  Ocie was an incredibly warm and generous person.  He truly cared about others and always made the time to listen and to help out in any way he could. He loved dogs and children, and nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren. He had a passion for sports, politics, and travel.  Ocie was an outstanding athlete who, in his later years, had to give up swimming and golf due to health issues but was looking forward to resuming play in the future.  He was a long standing member of The Country Club of Fairfield, where he devoted countless hours to the improvement and betterment of the club to which he belonged for over 30 years.  He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his son, Justin Adams, of Fairfield, and his children, Taylor and Magnolia; his daughter, Sally Adams (Pitti) of Washington, D.C., and her son, Jackson; his niece, Elizabeth (Brady), nephew, Porter (Ledford), cousin Amy (Barnes) and their respective families, and other loving family members.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of Fairfield, CT, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT, followed by a reception at the Country Club of Fairfield, 936 Sasco Hill Road, Fairfield, CT.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ASPCA.  Online condolences may be left at www.redgatehennessy.com.
