Osvaldo R. Diaz Jr., age 55, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Penny Roman Diaz, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Osvaldo was born in Manhattan, NY, beloved son of Osvaldo R. Sr. and Brunilda Padilla Diaz. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served proudly with the U.S. Army for seven years. Osvaldo was a quality control inspector for Lacey Manufacturing. In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves two loving daughters, Kamille Gutierrez and husband Ivan of Shelton and Alana Diaz of Bridgeport, a brother, Hector Diaz of Brandon, FL, a sister, Mildred Diaz – Jimenez of Sarasota, FL, two cherished grandchildren, Haylee Ramos and Evan O. Gutierrez and a third grandchild expected in June; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:30p.m.,  in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with Msgr. Matthew Bernelli, Pastor of St. Mary Church, officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Mountain Grove-Easton Cemetery.
