IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia "Peb"
Douglas
August 4, 1944 – August 17, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of, Patricia "Peb" Eileen Bosse Douglas on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Peb passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of Richard Douglas.
Born on August 4th, 1944, in Bridgeport, CT, Peb was a woman of strength and grace. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Maura Murray Bosse. She attended St. Augustine's School and Notre Dame High School, and later graduated from the University of Bridgeport, where she discovered her true calling—teaching. Peb dedicated 36 years to teaching in the Bridgeport school system, touching the lives of countless elementary students with her kindness, compassion, and dedication. Her commitment to education and her devotion to her students earned her the admiration and love of all who knew her.
Family was at the heart of Peb's life. She cherished days at the family beach house, traveling with her loved ones, and laughter shared with her siblings—not to mention her frequent trips to Marshall's. But nothing brought her greater joy than the time she spent with her nine beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Richard, Peb is survived by her devoted children: Richard P. Douglas and his wife, Kerry Jean; Kara Douglas Zarrelli and her husband, Derek; and Patrick Douglas and his wife, Christine. She also leaves behind her siblings Brian Bosse, Paul Bosse, Maura Peterson, Kathleen Morton, and Patrick Bosse Jr.; her adored grandchildren Maverick, Quinn, Jackson, Greysie, Gunner, Maisie, Madelyn, Harper, and Hayes; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Kevin Bosse.
To know Peb was to feel her warmth, laughter, and generosity. She was the heart of every gathering, always ready with a smile, a story, or a helping hand. Most of all, she poured her love into her family, and that love will continue to shine through the memories she leaves with us.
