Patricia Sullivan Zelle, age 81, formerly of Trumbull passed away Saturday May 9, 2009 at Bishop Wicke Health Center, Shelton. Born in Bridgeport, she was the beloved wife of the late Andrew J. Zelle. Mrs. Zellew was secretary to the office of the Academic Vice President at Sacred Heart University for 25 years retiring in 1992. She was a thoughtful, caring and generous woman who will be remembered as the life of the party by her many family and friends. She is survived by her loving children, Robert A. Zelle and his wife Patricia of Brookfield, Kathleen Duke and her husband Michael of Fairfield, Eileen Devore and her husband Stephen of Bridgeport, and Patricia A. Zelle of Milford, grandchildren, Brendan and Bridget Zelle, Kaitlyn, Courtney and Andrew Duke, Stephen and Michael Devore, and her cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, her brothers John E. and Raymond T. Sullivan predeceased her. Her family would like to thank Rev. Jim Stinson, the nurses and staff at Bishop Wicke H.C. for their dedicated compassionate care. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15am from the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00am in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Wednesday 4-8pm.
