Pauline Solomon Santoro R.N., age 99 of Bridgeport died Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Maefair Health Care. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph A. Santoro, brother Harry Solomon, sisters Gertrude Iasparo and Mary Anastasio. Mrs. Santoro was born September 6, 1913 in Derby and was the daughter of the late Max and Sadie Solomon. She attended Lincoln Elementary School and graduated from Derby High School, Valedictorian of her class. She became a Registered Nurse after graduating from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Santoro was a private duty nurse for several years until her retirement. She was resident of Trumbull since 1953. Mrs. Santoro loved music and ballroom dancing also was an avid reader. She was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Youle and her husband Albert of Bridgeport, son Robert J. Santoro and his wife Dale of Massachusetts, granddaughters, Sherri Meyer and her husband Michael of North Carolina, and Dena Devine of Massachusetts, great grandsons David and Steven Meyer and great granddaughters Maggie and Katy Devine, nephews Martin Anastasio and his wife Marti of New Haven and Florida, Tom Anastasio and his wife Helen of Woodbridge. Friends may attend Graveside services Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00am in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Middlebrooks Avenue, Trumbull with Rev.
