Peter A. Costa, 97 of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Angelina T. Yannacci Costa, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018. Born in New York City, he was a former Trumbull resident and a veteran of the United States Army, during World War II. Peter was a truck driver for DeHart Motor Lines and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Survivors include his loving daughter Elaine Thompson of Fairfield, beloved grandchildren Dana Tavella and husband, Robert, Jill Brideau and husband Eric, and Kenneth Thompson and wife Lori, great grandchildren Peter, Harry, and Angelina Tavella, Dylan, Jayce, and Blake Brideau, Charley and Avery Thompson. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Harry A. Thompson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., meeting directly in St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
