Phillip J. Prokop Sr. age 66 of Monroe died Thursday, February 10, 2011 in Milford Health Care Center. Born and raised in Bridgeport he was the beloved son of the late Charles and Mary Drank Prokop. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and the University of Bridgeport with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Phil was a retired engineer with Sikorsky Aircraft and also worked as a systems analyst with Nasdaq. In his retirement he enjoyed gardening, cooking, photography, and truly was a jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn't do. Survivors include his son, Phillip Prokop Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Shelton, his daughter Melissa E. Prokop of Milford, grandchildren, Rose Marie, Kane "his little buddy", and Jack Prokop, sister Diane Cascella, brothers Charles and his wife Marie, John and Karl Prokop, devoted friend and love Linda Prokop, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Mary Beth Goodman. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00am meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-6pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
