Ralph V. Resta, Jr., age 81, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Ralph was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Ralph and Josephine Resta, Sr., and was a lifelong area resident. He received his Licensed Practical Nurse Degree from Bullard Havens and his Registered Nursing Degree from the University of Bridgeport. Ralph also received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and a Master's Degree in Education from Fairfield University. Prior to his retirement Ralph worked as a Registered Nurse at Lord Chamberlain. He was a member for the past fifteen years of the Catholic organization, The Neocatechumenal Way. Survivors include his loving siblings, Francis V. Resta and wife Diane of Oxford, Robert Resta and wife Elizabeth of New York City, Daniel Resta and wife Judy of Brooklyn, NY, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 12:00p.m., meeting directly in St. Margaret's Shrine, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull. A private viewing for the family will be held Tuesday at 10:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
