Ramona Gallo, age 81, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Anthony D. Gallo, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Griffin Hospital. Ramona was born in Rome, NY, daughter of the late Anthony and Irene Schneider Mole and was a longtime Bridgeport resident before moving to Shelton. She retired from J.C. Penny and loved to garden and play bingo. She was predeceased by her son, Anthony A. Gallo. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Judy Melita and husband James of Shelton, six grandchildren, Rachael Grobowski, Kevin Gallo, Corey Melita, Paige Melita, Colin Melita and Stacey Melita, seven great grandchildren, Savannah Gallo, Mia Gallo, Giovanni Gallo, Luciano Gallo, James Grobowski, Anthony Grobowski and Blake Dumschott; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 10:30 am. in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
