Randall E. Johnston, age 72 of Milford passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Edda M. Greulach Johnston. Born in Bridgeport on March 26, 1935 he was the son of the late Arthur and Gladys Sastram Johnston. Mr. Johnston was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War(1954-1959). He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 145 in Bridgeport and the Germania Schwaben Society. He retired from Textron Lycoming. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son and daughter in law, Randall A. and Patricia Klink Johnston of Milford, daughter and son in law, Sylvia and Russell Schell III of West Haven, brother Robert Johnston of Bridgeport, six grandchildren, Melissa, Randall A. Jr., and Michael Johnston of Milford, Russell IV, Jennifer and Forrest Schell of West Haven, 2 great grandchildren, David and Alexa, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Arthur and sister Gladys Wynne. Funeral services will be private. Interment with full military honors will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
