Raymond J. Cardinal, age 82, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Barbara Yaremich Cardinal, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at his home. Ray was born in Fall River, MA, son of the late Armand and Clara Goddu Cardinal and lived most of his life in the Trumbull – Bridgeport area. He was an Army – Air Corp Veteran of World War II and retired after 46 years with E & F Construction, as a truck driver. Ray was a member of the Local Teamsters Union and a 3rd. Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Murphy Council. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by four loving children, Kenneth J. Cardinal of Easton, Mark J. Cardinal and wife Kerry of Trumbull, Dr. Deborah A. Augenbraun Psy. D. and husband David of Newtown and Richard J. Cardinal and wife Trina of Simsbury, a brother Armand Cardinal of Florida, seven cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Lillian Gagnon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment, with full military honors will follow in the Long Hill Burial Grounds.
