Raymond Silvio DelMedico, age 94, peacefully entered into eternal rest at his home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, exactly 9 months after his beloved late wife of 68 years Marcella Rose Olivia DelMedico. He was born on September 17, 1914 in West Springfield, MA to the late Augusto and Marie Gunta DelMedico. Raymond worked for Bridgeport Bedspring Co. as a career tractor trailer driver, and enjoyed time spent at the Marchegiana Club. He is survived by his two devoted children Marie Woznick and husband Roger of Delray Beach, FL, Raymond A. DelMedico and wife Diane of Fairfield. He will be sadly missed by his loving granddaughters, Tina Rembish and husband Mike of Fairfield, Jill Cutler and husband Chris of Trumbull, as well as five great grandchildren, Michael, Carly, Andrew, Mia, and Brennan. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2009, at 9:15 am from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport (lower church), with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday after 8:30 am.  A special thank you to Francis, Claire, Jane and Mara for their loving care and compassion.
