Richard W. Anderson, of Shelton, passed away peacefully August 4, 2025, surrounded by loving family members, he was 98. He was born in Hollis, NY, resided in West Hempstead NY, Monroe CT, Cutchogue NY, Virginia Beach VA, and was a WWII Navy veteran. Richard was predeceased by his wife's Greta Rich, Martha Lilley, and his son Richard W Anderson Jr. He enjoyed singing especially with the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church Choir, he also enjoyed dancing, playing golf, tennis, and birdwatching along with many other interests and hobbies. He brought joy and laughter to the many people he came to know. Richard is survived by seven children, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Services will be private.
