Richard A. (Dick) Gabris, age 78 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Carol Aichelmann Gabris, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014. Dick was a lifelong Bridgeport resident, son of the late Anthony and Sohie Gabris and was an Army veteran. He was a master plumber, owning his own business Gabris Plumbing and Heating. Survivors in addition to his wife Carol include his three devoted sons; Alan J. Gabris and wife Kathy of Beacon Falls, Paul R. Gabris and wife Cynthia of Stratford, and Richard J. Gabris and wife Joann of Chesapeake, VA, seven cherished grandchildren David and wife Sadie, Nicholas, Kyle, Kelsey, Matthew, Justin and Julia, a brother Robert Gabris of Stratford, two nieces Michelle Huydic, and Meredith Sabia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:15a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:00a.m., in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
