Richard Turner Graham, age 82 of Bridgeport, CT passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital. Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Graham.
Born in Bridgeport, Richard was a graduate of Stratford High School. Richard was in the United States Navy, and a veteran of the Korean War. He served on the U.S.S. Picking from 1952 - 1956, and was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, The Navy Occupation Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The United Nations Service Medal, and the Korean Service Medal. Richard retired from the United Illuminating Company in 1996 after 40 years of service. Richard is survived by his daughter, Sharyn Joaquim and her husband Albino of Cheshire, CT, his son, David Graham and his wife Lei-Lani of Port Orchard Washington, and four grandsons, Nicholas and Jason Joaquim, David and Richard Graham. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent's Medical Center, and Bridgeport Hospital for their kind and compassionate care for Richard and his family. Friends are invited to attend Graveside Services with Full Military Honors on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery (located at the end of Harvester Road, Easton which is off of Madison Avenue in Trumbull).
