Richard James Orr, age 94 of Newtown peacefully passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Elfriede Liese Orr. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Melvin and Madeline Forbes Orr. Richard was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired telephone lineman/repairman. He is survived by his step daughter Mary Godzeno and nephew William "Patrick" McCarn and his wife Nancy, a niece Virginia "Ginny" Lawler, several nieces and nephews and one great nephew. He was also predeceased by his brother, Melvin Orr and sister Barbara McCarn. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 10th at 11am at Long Hill Burial Grounds, Middlebrooks Avenue, Trumbull with Full Military Honors.
