Dr. Richard John Pulie, age 73 of Easton, CT beloved husband for 50 years of Barbara Dean Pulie died after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Thursday, November 26, 2009. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Ardwin A. Pulie and Angela Iacozza Pulie. Dr. Pulie was a graduate of St. Patrick's School in Bridgeport, Fairfield Prep, Fairfield University and Georgetown University School of Dentistry. A longtime Easton resident Dr. Pulie had a private dental practice in town for over 30 years. In addition to spending time with his family he enjoyed wintering in Hutchinson Island, Florida for the past 20 years. He was a coach for Little League, Babe Ruth and Senior Babe Ruth. He loved to cook and was a true handyman who could fix or build anything. In addition to his wife he is survived by seven children, Richard and Laura Ruocco Pulie of Trumbull, Elizabeth and Andrew Montelli of Weston, James and Lauren Haskell Pulie of Trumbull, Robert and Juliann Vincent Pulie of Orange, Matthew Pulie of Taunton, MA, Thomas and Courtney Hogan Pulie of Easton, Christopher and Sherri Romer Pulie of Easton, thirteen grandchildren, Victoria, Krista, and Lisa Pulie, Katherine, Thomas, and Margaret Montelli, James Pulie Jr. and Samuel Pulie, Nicole and Robert Pulie Jr., Liam and Reagan Pulie, and Tyler Pulie. He is also survived by his sister Doris Herbring. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00am meeting directly at Notre Dame of Easton Church, 640 Morehouse Road, Easton with a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Sunday 3-7pm in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
