Richard W. Anderson, age 87 a resident of North Fort Meyers, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Born in Rockford, Illinois he was the son of the late Clarence and Percese Fitch Anderson. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the National Guard. He was a tool and die engineer and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his son Ricky S. Anderson and his wife Cathy of Waterbury and his daughter Cindy Lynn Anderson of Torrington, two grandchildren Kurt and Nicole. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille Marie Rhodes Anderson. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00am in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Thursday morning 10:00 - 11:00am.
