Rina Rolla Imarisio, age 98, formerly of Hamden, devoted wife of the late Louis Imarisio, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2008 at St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull. Born in Casorzo Monferrato, Italy to the late Giacomo and Cosmina Fasone Rolla, she came to the United States as a bride in 1933. Mrs. Imarisio was a talented dressmaker and forelady with the David Crystal Dress Company in New Haven and a member of the I.L.G.W.U. She belonged to the New Haven Garden Club and the Pietro Mica Club, and was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden. When not at work she devoted her extraordinary energy to her ever sprouting gardens and to creating Piedmontese dinners to delight family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Lillian and Dr. Joseph Pesce of Fairfield, and by her granddaughters and their husbands, Attorneys Linda and Arthur Laske of Easton, Drs. Katherine Pesce and Kenneth Kingsly of Fairfield, and Drs. Suzanne Pesce and Stephen Kovach of Wynnwood, PA, and by her great-grandchildren, John, Joseph, Nathaniel and Anna Laske, Noah and Julia Kingsly, and Jack and Elena Kovach. She is also survived by her sisters, Teresa Rolla and Vivina Cavana of Italy and several nieces and nephews. Her sisters Maria DeGiovanni and Irma Percivale and brother Mario Rolla predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden.
