Rita Healy Pekar, age 87 of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport died Thursday June 7, 2012 at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital, Fairfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Pekar and the daughter of the late John and Catherine O'Brien Healy. She was an employee at General Electric for 44 years. Survivors include her sister-in-law Alice Healy, nieces and nephews, Barbara Ames, Charlene Brennan and husband Dan, Paul Healy and wife Jacquelyn, Charles Seliga and wife Nancy, William Moore and wife Carol, and Judy Moore, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers, John and James Healy and sisters, Mary (Mae) Moore, Patricia Healy, and Katherine Seliga. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:15 a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 11:00a.m., in St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster Street, Black Rock, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
