Robert Stephen Glanz, age 68, the beloved of Mary Jane Weitzel Glanz passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Medical Center on September 25, 2014 after a long illness. Born July 19, 1946 in Norwalk, CT, his family moved to Wilton where he graduated from Wilton High School,  Class of 1964 and attended Central Florida College and the University of the Americas in Mexico City, Mexico. He was employed by Union Trust in Trumbull at their operations center for many years and also at Executone Information Systems in Milford. Steve enjoyed the ocean, NASCAR and had a passion for music and sports. He will be missed by all who knew him especially his Yorkie "Riley" who was always by his side. In addition to his wife, Mary Jane he is survived by his brother Peter and his wife Nancy of Greenville, RI, mother-in-law, Patricia Weitzel of Wakefield, RI, brother-in-law Robert Weitzel of Hollis, NH, sister-in-law Annie Weed of Ridgefield, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Adelaide Glanz and brother, Christopher. Friends may greet his family on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 2:00pm – 4:30pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. There will be a prayer service at 2:30pm.
