Robert J. Gleason, age 87, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Dorothy Kilinski Gleason, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2013 in his home. Robert was born in Bridgeport, son of the late John and Margaret Fowler Gleason, and was a Bridgeport resident all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army, and retired as Assistant Chief with the Bridgeport Fire Department, after 32 years of service. Survivors in addition to his wife Dorothy include his devoted children; Noreen Kessler and husband Charlie, Laura Wetmore and husband Tom, Robert Gleason, Jr., and wife Karen, and John Gleason and wife Margaret, fourteen loving grandchildren; Christopher, Kate, Sara, Molly, and Chas Kessler, Griffin, Tucker, and Molly Wetmore, Colleen, Meredith, and Juliet Gleason, Meghan, Lauren, and J.J. Gleason, two cherished great grandchildren; Jack and Peyton, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by four brothers and one sister; Edward, Paul, John, Richard, and Agnes. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
