Robert J. Richter, Jr., age 73, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Maria Santiago Richter, died Monday, June 23, 2008, at Bridgeport Hospital. Robert was born in Stamford and retired from U.P.S. after many years of service as a trucker. He was a member of Teamsters Local 191, Pequonnock Yacht and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include two sons, Bret Richter of Newtown and Mario Richter of Dorchester, MA, a daughter, Evamarie Trapani, also of Dorchester, two brothers, Richard Richter of Danbury and Daniel Richter of Stamford, two sisters, Ruthie Snodgrass of Danbury and Barbara Stamotelos, of Stamford, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; also five stepdaughters, one stepson and seven stepgrandchildren. Friends may call Saturday from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., at the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
