February 17, 1932 – January 19, 2024
Robert C. Sideleau, longtime resident of Trumbull, CT entered into eternal rest just shy of his 92nd birthday on Friday January 19, 2024. Bob was born and raised in Bridgeport, CT in 1932 by his parents, Eva Beaudry Sideleau and Amie Claude Sideleau. He graduated from Harding High School and served in the US Army in Okinawa. He met and married fellow Bridgeport native Barbara Jean Flynn. He worked as a technician for various companies including Raybestos, Avco-Lycoming, KVB and ESA. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara Flynn Sideleau and his youngest son, Robert J. Sideleau. He is survived by his beloved children Gregoire R. Sideleau and his partner Sandy Kuzmich, Michelle Sideleau and her husband Steve Wendt, and Brian D. Sideleau, Sr., in addition to his grandchildren Dominique Sideleau, Kathleen Sideleau Sutherland, Brian D. Sideleau Jr., Brendan Flynn Wendt, Kelly Rose Wendt and husband Abhay Shah, Allison Violet Wendt, Ryan Joseph Wendt, and his great grandchildren Grace Sutherland and Owen Lindenberg, and his dog Susie, who all brought him great comfort. Special thanks to Spring Meadows in Trumbull and Candy Gordon and her team of caretakers who ensured he visited his favorite restaurants and ice cream shops when he could no longer drive himself. Visitation will be at Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, from 4p.m. to 7p.m., on Friday, January 26th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 4699 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, at 10:30a.m., on Saturday, January 27th.
