It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Robert P. Yoney, age 73 of Branford and Easton on Saturday, July 1, 2023 following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Sally Ward Yoney who predeceased him in 2020. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of Paul S. and Ruth Barter Yoney and was Vice President of family owned businesses operating in Connecticut and New York. Robert was a graduate of Cheshire Academy and Long Island University and a former member of Fayerweather Yacht Club, the Algonquin Club and The Patterson Club. He was an avid fisherman and he and his late wife enjoyed traveling and snorkeling in the Caribbean. Survivors include his loving brother Gerald J. Yoney and his wife Theresa of Easton, nieces and nephews Pamela, Laura, Sarah, Alex and Kyle, each of whom he loved dearly. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be scheduled at a later time.
