Roger C. Wollen, age 75 of Easton, beloved husband of Dori Takacs Wollen, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Roger was born January 3, 1937 in New York, NY, son of the late Jess C. and Edith V. Clark Wollen, and has resided in Easton for the past 36 years. He received his electrical engineering degree in 1958 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute that was followed by graduate work at New York University. Roger worked for Foster Wheeler as a project engineer, at Sinclair Oil he was a manager of marketing and distributions systems, at SIAC he was a division manager, and retired from Stauffer Chemical as a division controller. In retirement he managed a private charitable foundation. He was active in Easton politics, and was a member of the Board of Finance, Charter Committee, School Building Committee, Police Commission, Animal Shelter Committee, and was a member of the Exchange Club. Roger was an avid skier, loved to tell a good joke and loved his predeceased dogs and cats particularly Rufus, his Flattie. Survivors in addition to his wife Dori of almost 40 years include, his cousins Leslie Clark Parisi and Sharon Clark Ledakovich both of New Jersey, Sherry Mitchell Kravat of Florida, his aunt Dolores Mitchell of Florida, his brother-in-law Gabor Takacs, his nephew Martin Takacs as well as his dog Lucy and cat Hazel and many friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful support of Drs. Dorosario's, Greenspan's, Kosinski's and Fogel's teams as well as the ICU team at St. Vincent's. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with a prayer service offered at 4:00p.m. Interment will be private in Aspetuck Cemetery, Easton.
