Rosa Del Franco Iannino, age 95 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Gaetano Iannino, passed away, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly, Fairfield. Rosa was born in Italy, daughter of the late Peter and Vita Del Franco, and was an expert seamstress for local dress shops. Rosa was known for welcoming people to her home with kindness, compassion and love, always making you happy and keeping you smiling. Survivors include her devoted daughter, Carmela Toscano and husband John, five cherished grandchildren; Rosie Toscano Ciardiello and husband Peter, Vincent Toscano and wife Jennifer, Rose Iannino Renz and husband Patrick, Lisa Iannino Oko and husband Chris, Linda Toscano Popick, ten loving great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosa is predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Susan Iannino, siblings; Elizabeth Siano, Anna Romano, Dino Del Franco, Vincent Del Franco, and Samuel Del Franco, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Bennett III staff of the Jewish Home, for their love and care of Rosa. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 11:00am in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
