Rose A. Donadeo, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Attorney Charles Donadeo, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at St. Joseph's Manor. Rose was born and educated in New York City, daughter of Gabriela and Vincent Guazzo, and was a primary school teacher before marrying. She resided in Trumbull and has been a devoted member of St. Theresa Parish for the past 75 years. During her time in New York, Rose studied voice at the Metropolitan opera studio. She was a philanthropist by nature, volunteering at St. Mark Parish, Stratford, as a religious teacher as well as having taught Sunday school at St. James Parish, Stratford. While Rose resided in Trumbull, she was president of the Long Hill Women's Club, president of the Music Study Club, president of the Long Hill Garden Club, volunteered at St. Theresa School Library, and served on the board of the Women's Federation Club for two terms. Surviving to share her memories are nieces; Marion Lasecki, Kathy Smith and husband Harold, Barbara, Jackie, and Stephanie Nuzzo, Melissa Landino and husband Dino, and children Isabella and Francesca Landino, Pat Dimico and husband Pat, Gabriela Ballatore, and Tina Lasecki, nephews; Donald Lasecki and wife Denise, Jason Smith and wife Alona, Steven Smith, David Lasecki, Michael Nuzzo, and Michael Nuzzo, Jr. She was predeceased by her step father, Pat Mucciolo, a sister, Mae Ballatore, a brother-in-law August Ballatore, nephews, Philip Ballatore, Robert Lasecki, Edmund Lasecki, Jr. and a nephew-in-law Edmund Lasecki, Sr. The family wishes to thank the 4th floor nurses at the manor for their compassionate and loving care given to Rose. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2009, at 10:15am from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 11:00am in St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds. Friends may call Thursday, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
