Rose Socha O'Brien, age 92 of Bridgeport died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald A. O'Brien. Born in Mahanoy Plains, PA she was the daughter of Anthony and Anna Churko Socha and was a Bridgeport resident for most of her life. Mrs. O'Brien worked at General Electric during World War II and formerly at Boston Chain Market. She was a member of the American Legion Sylvan Post 177 Auxiliary. She is survived by her son Robert P. O'Brien and his wife Shelley of Shelton, her daughters Donna R. Elczyk and her husband Tommy of Trumbull, and Gail M. Kline and her husband William of Bridgeport, brother, Paul Bereza of Stratford, five grandchildren, Robert P. O'Brien Jr., Glenn M. O'Brien, Jenna Rose Elczyk, Erin Kathleen Kline, and William Kline Jr. great grandchildren, Kaiah Marie Roskowski, and Robert P. O'Brien III, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial.
