Rosemary Reilly Prevelige, age 78, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Peter E. Prevelige, died Saturday June 16, 2007, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New Jersey, daughter of the late Robert J. and Myrtle Mahoney Reilly, Mrs. Prevelige had been a Fairfield resident 43 years. She formerly worked for Time Inc. and the American Cancer Society and had volunteered for many years with the Fairfield Welcome Wagon. A devoted wife and mother, she is survived in addition to her husband by six children, Peter E. Prevelige Jr. and Trish Strain of Birmingham, AL, John R. Prevelige and Maria Palmieri of Trumbull, Chris L. Prevelige and Jill of Trumbull, Andrew W. Prevelige and Slavica of Easton, Maria E. Sweet and John of Doylestown, PA and Robert J. Prevelige and Beth of Milford, MA, two sisters, Alice Mooney and Patricia Canfield, both of Toms River, NJ, 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters, Robert J. Reilly Jr., Honey Sandland and Helen Gilliam. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m., directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Tuesday, 4 – 8 p.m. at the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
