Obituary

Rupert Enrique Crossley, also known as Croshen a renowned artist and painter. Many of his close family members called him "Wéki". Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on May 6, 1950 to his late parents Leonardo and Irma Crossley. He passed away unexpectedly in his Manhattan, NY apartment on June 25, 2021. Croshen was a self-taught artist and attended Jean Marie Guilloux School, the Institution of Frère André and his secondary studies at Fernand Prospere College in Haiti for Accounting and Chemistry.

His art style was modern realism, surrealism and "L'ecole De La Beaute"meaning school of beauty. Croshen's art work was inspired by his passion forall things exemplifying beauty. Today his art is displayed all across the world including exhibitions since 1974 in the Italian and Dominican Embassies,SONO Art Norwalk CT, homes throughout Connecticut, Government Center Stamford CT, Governor State House of Massachusetts and Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts, just to name a few.

Croshen was survived by his wife Carole Crossley, his son Rupert II (wifeShyesha), his daughter Anniah Zaïn and two grandchildren Victoria andRicky. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gerard, Oswald Reginald, Anton Clifford, Alex, Jean Dauphin, Rose Carmelle Frède, (the late Rema and Juliette) and their spouses Kekette, Nanotte and Michele. In addition he is survived by his nieces and nephews; Icynthia Forbes,Marshophia Powers, Reginald, Alain, Stanley, Melissa, Fabienne, Emira,Andy, Sammy, Ishmahel, Carl, his cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Croshen was dearly loved by his family and so many others.
