Russell B. Captor, age 86 formerly of Monroe died on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. Farrell Captor for 54 years. Born in Scranton, PA, Russell was an Eagle Scout, Scout Leader and served on the Board of Directors. He graduated from Keystone College in 1956 with an Associate Degree in Engineering, from Penn State in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering, from Syracuse University in 1973 receiving his MBA. He worked for U.S. Steel in the mines from 1959-1964 and in acquisitions at Sylvania/GTE from 1964 to 1993. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Shelton and a licensed Lay Reader. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia and parents, Robert and Laura and brother, Robert. Survivors include his daughters, Renee Captor and her husband James Greenwald, Kim Captor and her husband Patrick Smith, grandchildren, Casey and Molly Smith and Daliah Greenwald, and sister, Carol Fish.
