Ruth Lobb Curry, age 88 of Stratford passed away Saturday October 24, 2009 at Lord Chamberlain. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Curry. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo "Earl" Lobb and Louise Schwing Lobb and lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Curry enjoyed golf, bowling and bridge. She was an excellent cook who also loved to travel, read, and knit. She was a devout Catholic, a devoted mother to her family, and a caregiver to many throughout her life. Survivors include her five loving children, Kevin Curry and his wife Helen of Maynard, MA, Susan C. Hartsburg and her husband Walter of Danbury, Claire Pagnani and her husband Richard of Shelton, John Curry and his wife Maria of Braintree, MA, Thomas Curry and his wife Judy of Avondale, AZ, twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am meeting directly at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Huntington with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. At her request there will be no calling hours.
