Ruth Irene Muthersbaugh Moran, age 88 of Bridgeport passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Lyle E. Moran. Born in Bridgeport she worked as a banquet waitress. She enjoyed watching birds especially humming birds and cardinals and reading murder mysteries. Ruth liked to sit on her front porch in her favorite chair with a nice breeze but would grimace every time a fire truck left the fire station. She always had a smile for anyone and everyone. Strangers may have come into her house but they never left as strangers. She is survived by her daughter Ruth Krajnak and her husband John of New Preston, son Lyle P. Moran and his wife Leah of Bridgeport, brother Robert "Bucky" Muthersbaugh, grandchildren, Gale, Jennifer, Joshua and Fallon, great grandchildren, Gregory, Amanda, Benjamin, Brianna, and Adam, great, great grandson Owen, nieces and nephews Mary Ann, Michael, Jeffry, James, Raymond and Dick, daughter-in-law, Kathy, many great nieces and nephews and loving friends. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother James, sister Mary Bedford, grandson Tavish Moran, and nephews Lewis and Robert. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00am in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
